Janet Eagleton started Scottish Sporrans from her home in 1981
but it wasn't long before she outgrew the house and worked from
a caravan and then a portacabin in the garden. The family still
work from home but now in a lovely purpose built workshop.
Janet's father
was a saddler so she was brought up working with leather. Scottish
Sporrans is a traditional family business providing a traditional
family service, with husband Hamish and son Marcus and his future
wife now all working for the business. Their time is shared between
working in the workshop and running their shop in Perth.
Marcus has
introduced new ideas into the business and is the designer and
maker of our unique sporran handbags - which are very popular
with the rich and famous!
